in order to upgrade the processor, u'd probably need a new MoBo, which would require brand new RAM, and possibly a new power supply.
On top of all of this, u'd need to do it yourself, or find a tech shop that would agree tow ork on it for u, and it's not easy, since many companies won't touch Dells.
Is it possible? Yes.
Is it worth the cost and effort? Not at all.
i have got to apologise for the poor speach. my speach is too deep and the poor mic cant pick it up too well. will produce my voice better in future videos

If you part it out on ebay, the thing will sell very well. Sell the LCD alone for $100+
The problem you describe sounds like what they call a "cold solder joint" where the power connector is attached to the pc board. If you can get the case off you can probably fix it yourself, HOWEVER if you have no experience in solder, or inside a computer, pay a repair man to do it.
Go into the Control Panel and click on the Power Options icon
Click on the Hiberation tab
Check the box to turn on Hibernation
Now Hibernation will be available to you in the Shut Down menu
(By default hibernation is turned off, so when you reformatted, the hibernation box got "unchecked")
Yeah, send it to Dell. They wont send you the parts to repair it unless you are an authorized service center. If you take it to a service center, you are gonna pay more than if you just return it to the factory for repair. In ANY event, get your wallet out because Dell parts aint cheap!
P.S. I agree whole heartedly Mark!
